I must say the one thing that St. Mark’s prepared me so well for was writing papers. I know I complained all through high school about research papers and what a hassle they were, but now I could not be more thankful for the plethora of experience it has given me. I learned how to write a formal paper with as much ease as riding a bike. It is now second nature to cite a source and to make sure that I have correct spelling and grammar. It boggles my mind the number of people I meet in college that never had to write a formal paper! My group project is making me want to hit my head against a wall! My group members are in simple words, incompetent. My grade rests in the hands of a person that uses contractions in a formal paper and does not know the proper “there”. So once again St. Mark’s, thank you. One research paper, every  year, for four years was worth the agony.
